A Note about the Forums

Hello dear HTCians,

You may have all noticed that our forum discussions are now "descriptions-in-the-titles". That is to mean, that most of our discussions are starting to have very long (way too long they look like spam) titles, and very short (to the point that you could only see a dot) descriptions.

y'see, The elements of a discussion are:

Discussion Title
Post
Category
Tags
Attachments (optional)

You might've noticed that the only optional field, is the "attachments" field. But I think we've also made the "tags" field optional, eigh? Well, That can be forgiven (as I noticed most people tend to reply only to the top-twenty recently "replied" or "added" discussion).

But to fill the title with your whole question, or worse, a paragraph, and type only a "dot" in the "Post" field? I don't think that's cool.

That's a good marketing idea, but that's not cool.

For what is the purpose of the "Post" field? It is here that you write the description of your discussion (or thread). It is here that you tell the whole story about your discussion. It is here that you type long long paragraphs. It is here. Not in the "title" field.

I hope this brings change in the way we start our discussions. One short question (or phrase) in the "title" field is enough for us to know what you're trying to say.
